This answer changes over time, but lately my favorite is Avatar: The Last Airbender.
The show is filled with wonderful cultural references, and the characters are perhaps even more colorful than the lovely palette!
Oh boy, does he! Well, it’s more of a calculated decision usually. When he is about to kill off a character, he begins mumbling incoherently to himself. I call it: Deadly Assassin Mode.
“DO NOT QUESTION MY METHODS. EVERYTHING HAS A REASON AND IT WILL PLAY OUT EVENTUALLY.”
It’s quite ridiculous.

For a time before I met him, I was quite lost and confused.
One day, walking along the streets of Prospit, we met, and I was fascinated by his demeanor, and he mine.
Once we got to know each other, he introduced me to his idea of paint adventures, asking if I had any knowledge in the area, and I simply couldn’t pass it up! He is largely pleased by my results. (He officially took me in after the destruction of the throne and of my home, however.)
It makes me giddy just thinking about it!!
